The Sidewinder 4 ESC combo pack comes with a Castle 1415-2400Kv sensored* motor, a Driver's Ed and Guide Start Guide, a 1/10th scale gearing chart, and a decal sheet. This combo is suitable for use in vehicles up to 6.5lbs with battery, ready-to-run, using 2s-3s LiPo or 6-8 cell NiMH. The ESC is designed to operate with both sensorless brushless and brushed motors and features a waterproof design and a splash-resistant 30MM fan*. It has a 5.0 volts fixed, 2 amps Peak BEC, audible alerts for error conditions, enhanced drag brake functionality, and smoother sensorless startups. The ESC can be conveniently programmed using your transmitter for six common adjustable settings, with additional settings and software updates available via Windows-based Castle Link software and USB adapter (sold separately) or via Field Link Card (sold separately). It is also Telemetry Link compatible for Futaba® S.BUS2 (sold separately).
Please note that the sensored capabilities of the motor cannot be utilized with the Sidewinder 4 ESC. If you require sensored operation, you will need a sensored ESC like the Mamba X. Also, the Sidewinder 4 is not intended for operation while submerged in liquid. If the unit is operated in wet conditions, rinse it with fresh water to remove dirt or corrosives and then fully dry the unit.
